Ice cream scooping at the Recreation Department outdoor concert series

Ice cream, pizza, popcorn, beverages and candy were served by CBY students before and during the concerts this summer. Students set up, popped delicious batches of popcorn, scooped many sundaes and applied countless toppings to hungry attendees, then cleaned up of course! Funds raised help with programs and activities throughout the year.

9th Annual Holiday Babysitting
Sunday, December 7, 2008
Perhaps the most popular event CBY hosts during the year.

Many thanks to New Morning School for donating the use of their facility every year!
Thanks also to Hannaford on Colby Court for sponsoring the gingerbread houses!

Once again the CBY students hosted an amazing event where young children could come and play with the teens for the day while their parents attended to shopping and other necessary tasks. A wonderful time was had by all while the CBYers supervised crafts, stories, games, outside play, snacks, lunch, and general good fun. Volunteer parents were on hand as always, but the CBY teens planned and executed the event flawlessly. Congratulations! Unfortunately the ice storm cancelled the following Saturday's babysitting, but hopefully next year we will again host two days of holiday season fun! Many families have already expressed interest in signing up for December 2009...
